Every result on CalcBasePro is a planning estimate produced by a published formula and the assumptions listed on the tool's page. An estimate is a starting point for a decision — not the decision itself. This page spells out what that means for each category of calculator.

Construction and material estimates

Quantities for concrete, aggregate, brick, sand, asphalt and similar materials depend on real-world factors no formula can see: substrate condition, compaction, spillage, cut accuracy, batch variation and local product specifications. Densities and bag yields used here are typical published values; your supplier's datasheet governs. Always confirm quantities with your supplier and add a wastage allowance appropriate to the job before ordering, and have structural work reviewed by a qualified professional.

Engineering calculators

Pump, pipe and pressure-drop results are preliminary sizing aids based on the stated equations and reference coefficients. They do not replace a hydraulic calculation performed, checked and stamped by a licensed engineer working from the actual system layout, fluid properties and applicable codes. Do not construct, procure, or certify from these outputs alone.

Health calculators

Health tools — including the A1C converter — are informational only. They are not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment recommendation. Conversion relationships such as the NGSP/ADA-derived A1C-to-eAG regression describe population averages; an individual's values can differ. Never change medication, diet or monitoring based on a calculator result. Discuss your actual laboratory results with a qualified healthcare professional.

Marketing calculators

CPM, CPC, ROAS and conversion metrics are arithmetic on the numbers you provide. They make no prediction about future campaign performance, and a favourable break-even figure is not a guarantee of profit. Platform-reported metrics may use attribution rules that differ from these definitions.

Home services cost estimates

Cost ranges reflect broadly typical pricing and the factors that commonly move it. Real quotes vary with region, season, access, contractor workload and job specifics — sometimes far outside a typical range. Use the estimate to sanity-check bids, and always obtain multiple written quotes before committing.
